Over the last three years. Weiden & Kennedy's Honda advertising has been truly inspirational, and Grrrr was recently voted the best ad of the last decade. Here's the new spot, directed by Scott Lyons of Outsider
He had a difficult task but this doesn't really cut it for me. It's still got the Garrison Keillor voiceover, and it's beautifully edited, but it doesn't touch, move or inspire me as all the previous work does. I don't think that's the director's fault; I think it's the idea. Yes, Honda make cars, motorcycles and boats. Got it. But W&K have given us more soul in the past and that's what this lacks. But what do you think?
